Oh my God! My heart is just, wow, I freaking loved this book. Seb and Marcus are beautiful. I have no words. This is a beautiful love story that makes you smile, makes your heart swoon, and tears come out of your eyes.
I did not read book 1 in this series, so I went into this book with no idea other than the premise caught my attention. Not gonna lie, I didn't even realize the story was set somewhere else. I had to look up some words, lol. This book just blew me away.
Seriously, I think Marcus and Seb are going to be a couple that I will just not let go of. Gosh, they were soo beautiful. I didn't want their story to end. I don't think this review will do them justice. I don't have the ability to explain why I just fell in love with them but you need to read this book.

Okay wow. Where to begin. I cried like a baby. The beginning was explosive but it filled me with dread because I knew that if they got together so quickly, there was angst coming. And boy was there ever. Marcus is just...wow. I loved his character. His flaws, his mask, his growth. I was rooting for him and Seb so badly and I'm so happy they got their happily ever after. I can't say I was enjoying myself while reading this book, I even considered DNF'ing around the 50% mark, but I connected with the characters. The last 25% of the book hurt, but I'm glad I finished it. I went it wanted a smutty easy read, and maybe that's why I struggled in the middle, but these are characters that are going to stick with me. Solid read.

This was not a light-hearted read, despite the premise, but I was hooked from the first chapter. It was surprisingly tender and sweet considering one of the main characters is patterned after a Hollywood egoist, but the book really delves into why someone would ever choose that lifestyle and how love could ever fit into it. Marcus and Seb don’t make any sense on paper, but I love how much they get to be their most genuine selves with each other - and even Saskia, who I found obnoxious until about midway through, has a great redemption arc that had me rooting for her. Jax is great at not shying away from tough subjects and having characters meet them head on. Loved it.
