 "Nothing is what it seems." 

This book was enjoyable, but not the greatest one. We have some recurring characters such as Bundle (Eileen), Lord Caterham, Bill Eversleigh, and superintendent Battle and a location that we already know–Chimneys. A murder takes place and Bundle is very ambitious to figure out what happened. What I did like a lot is that Lord Caterham’s character is quite modern for a book written in 1929. 
"Eileen settles her own affairs. If she came to me tomorrow and said she was going to marry the chauffeur, I shouldn't make any objections."
I don’t know how common this mentality was back then, but I have to praise Agatha Christie for writing this!

At the end of the book we find out what this secret society called ‘Seven Dials’ is really about and I hope this story sets the beginning of more interesting stories about superintendent Battle. We’ll see.
