Beginning part was mystery and really good.  Ending was more romance and I guess it was good too. Very easy read.
fast-paced

Shelley wakes up in hospital from a coma and is trying to piece together what happened. She's trying to remember and feels people are holding things from her.

I think I expected more from this and was a bit disappointed with it. The story seemed to go so slow and not really get anywhere. I kind of didn't get the concept of what was meant to come out of the story.

Waking up from a coma with amnesia and slowly remembering what's what, one memory and trauma at a time. A little predictable, but it has a very genuine feeling. I enjoyed it.

Warning - pretty graphic depictions of domestic violence

Was a page turner but the ending let it down somewhat

Its hard to review this book wothout giving too much away
Shelley wakes up in ICU convinced she is there because her husband tried to kill her. What follows is a story of domestic violence repeating itself, hurt , betrayal and then hope and love.
A clever tale that kept me gripped to the end

This had a lot of promise. The first 1/3 was interesting, but given the direction the story took, it was superfluous. Not all of that preamble was necessary.
I liked the back and forth perspective of then and now. I was certain the ending would turn out differently, but it was somewhat anticlimactic and too happily ever after.

A very good audiobook that delves into the horrifying world of men abusing women. There are a lot of layers in this story that centers around Shelley Woodhouse and her memory loss following a head injury. The topic of abuse is handled accurately and sensitively. Also with hope and giving power back to women. And that there are good men in this world.

Thank you to my town's library and hoopla for providing me with a free copy of this audiobook.
