I went into this book looking for an entertaining read, the book equivalent to movie The Peace Maker. It uses 9/11 as a plot device for its own convenience (some may say conceit)and the writing is very hurried here and there, but over all, I enjoyed it. It wasn't anymore or less than what I wanted.

Good book. Constant action. Full of mystery. How to save a Van Gogh from being wrongly acquired by a corrupt banker. Spans several countries on several continents. Aptly takes place around the events surrounding 9/11. Interesting read with a bit of art history mixed in. Highly recommend.
Amazing book. A fast paced thriller that I had been meaning to read for a long time. It was interesting and kept me hooked from first to last page. As a big Jeffery Archer fan, I was not disappointed.
It sounded so fun - thriller with a focus on art, compared to The Da Vinci Code. Unfortunately, the book as lacking in every front - the characters were stereotypical and without layers, the portrayed relationships and situations were unbelievable for me, the plot predictable. The good thing about the book is that it is very easy to read, maybe okey for younger readers.
I had never read any of Archer's books before, but this one was very good. It definitely works inside the conventions of the crime novel, but it has a cracking pace and some really interesting plot developments. I loved the artistic twist as well - the parallels between the mysteries of Van Gogh's life and the 2001 international art market was great.
This book started off on a good note. It was really gripping and interesting. And till about the 300s, I thought it would be a good book. But then, nah.
This is the first Jeffrey Archer I have read. I have started this book around 5 times but had never been able to complete it. But now I have completed it and I didn't find it very good.
There's pretty much nothing specific to say. The bottom line is that I didn't like the story. There were times when I felt bored.
So that's all I have to say. I cba to explain more. But one thing is for sure: I didn't get off to a very good start with Jeffrey Archer.
