This book was a GREAT time! Sutanto beautifully captured the energy of multigenerational close families and all the little things that get lost in translation…without it feeling too much like a stereotype. Loved all these characters and genuinely could not predict the plot twists! Read in a day.

[1st read from 26/12/2021 to 30/12/2021] — 3⭐️

— i’ve read so many mixed reviews on this so i thought i’d end up absolutely hating it but i (surprisingly, might i add) didn’t! i loved the premise and even though a lot of the plot felt over exaggerated and at times unrealistic for me, i adored the romance (or at least the 30 pages we got of it)!
definitely reading the sequel !
