Obviously enjoyed reading about Tom's cats but his shouty dad was the highlight for me. What a legend.

This one just missed the mark for me. I couldn't get into it. For some reason I didn't feel a connection to the cats that Tom was writing about. I wanted to love this book but it just didn't happen for me.

Quite gross, cat eating a condom, vomit, cat attacking a man's testicles...

I like Tom's work but find myself having a hard time sticking with his longwinded kitty insights when compressed into a single book about his (unacknowledged?) desire to run a cattery.

the memoir of a 37 year old man with four cats, also a surprisingly poignant argument for letting people (and cats) that you love be themselves even if it's weird and hard, also a funny book about cats.

It's a humorous book about cats. *Obviously* I'm going to give it 5 stars.

I leave long pauses between reading the books, so with this one I only just now caught up with the point I started following Tom and his cats on Twitter and reading his blogs.

Of course the initial attraction was The Bear and his beautiful deep eyes (see the cover of this book), but I ended up staying for Tom's general (or rather pretty particular) musings on nature.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book, (and the one that's in the works!), but it will again be in a couple of months, most likely. I just wanna savour them.

Btw, this one, is so far my fave in the series, (seems a bit weird calling it a series in a non-fiction context, but that's kind of what it is isn't it), hence the rating.
