This was a cute, fluffy read. I needed an audio book for a long drive and this was a great choice - it was engaging, with a good narrator and likable characters. There was nothing earth-shattering here, and there were a couple of times when the author ALMOST took a turn with the book that I thought would be interesting and the pulled it back to the fluffy side, but it kept my interest anyway.
What I liked most was that this was not a book about five best friends navigating high school - instead it was five almost-strangers, who had their own friends and their own lives, and this book did a nice job of showing the ways that you can affect someone else's life without even realizing it.

This was a tough one for me - I was interested in these characters and wished they had interacted with one another more. And even when we did get that interaction, there wasn't much depth. This was an ambitious project, to tell the story of five different high school experiences that spanned four years, but I didn't feel that I knew any of the characters very well. In the end, the book felt more like a series of vignettes than anything else, which was satisfying enough.

Normally I love these kinds of YA books, following characters through their high school experience. And I did like this. But 5 main characters was a little hard to track, especially since for much of the book their stories didn’t even intertwine. Easy, sweet read though.
Infinite in Between by Carolyn Mackler is about the four tumultuous years in high school between freshman and senior years and all the things that can happen. When five freshmen meet, they begin a journey that will interweave them in each other’s lives and cause ups and downs and repercussions that they cannot begin to understand. They will individually and collectively deal with death, life, love and change that will define and mold them into the people they hope to become. They learn that no matter what happens, they will always be connected because of the time they spent together in high school.
The novel oscillates between the five students with each contributing to the story from their point of view throughout the four years. The reader sees the impact of events before the students themselves realize and I enjoyed this aspect of it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I feel it is very representative of what it feels like to be in high school. I would recommend this to middle grade students and up. I feel it could be especially impactful for kids entering high school who are struggling with feeling out of place as they transition to this new phase in their lives.

I'm not entirely sure why I finished this book, because there was nothing interesting about it. The characters were two-dimensional (at best) and the dialogue sounded like it had been written by a 13-year-old. The prologue was great, but it was all downhill from there. Definitely wasn't worth my time, but at least it was a short read.
I really loved this book! I read this in 4 hours and I wish I savered it! but over all it was a fun contemporary and I need this to help me end off the year. I didn't know that I was craving for this genre. but when I went to go to the library I just saw and I gave it a chance. over all I loved it! highly recommend it! my second favorite contemporary I read all year! (My first is Fangirl)
This was pretty good -- I liked the concept, and the characters, but I feel like it tried to do too much, cover too much time, too many characters. I wanted more info about the people -- each character could have gotten their own book!
I sincerely hope Mackler writes a sequel in ten years.
Not great literature happening here, but kids will love this. Lots of sexual and sex talk, although critically rec for 8+, I'm probably not keeping it in my 6-8 library.
