One of the best books I've ever read, Wilde's writing will always remain rich and magnificent and one of the best. The ending shocked me to my core though and I'm not over it.

a hedonist bible, a wonderful piece of art, celebrating detail, despair, emotions, big and overwhelming. full of wisdom.

Um this was perfect?!
This whole book is a freaking quote!!

I love how Harry is an evil Yoda. I love him even though he’s a douche lol
And Dorian was so funny.
I loved this book so much. So much.

A story about the horrors of how sinning and being selfish and causing pain to others changes you and scars you, ends with the man who, in some capacity, hates how monstrous he has become, but his final thoughts are just as selfish and refusing to take responsibility for any crime other than that his soul is ruined.
"Was it really true that one could never change?"

Getting through this book was difficult. The pacing and monologues are definitely of a classic, so I'm not surprised. There was a lot in here that I did enjoy! The themes and how Dorian doesn't really become a "better" person in the end.
