Delete your Facebook.

Profit over people is the ugly truth. More like 3.5 stars. Would recommend listening to it vs reading since it can be dry at times.

A good synopsis of the history and growth of facebook as well as the multitude of critiques leveled against the company in recent years. I think there's sufficient evidence that the company is a stark example of the subversion of principals by the allure of - potentially limitless - financial gain. It's unfortunate that companies like facebook - and people like Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg - benefitted so disproportionally by the low-interest-rate fueled marketplace in the 2010's. Hopefully this company gets ground down until nothing remains by their shared avarice.

The reality of Facebook is even more horrifying than you imagine. The external commoditization of our time and our identities has unleashed these vile business models and practices under a cynical guise of free speech, capitalism or both.
