I mean it was better than The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, but it was still just ok. And to be just ok it stuck around far too long. This book is so bold to be called “The Great American Novel,” however I wouldn’t go nearly that far. Twain needs a much shorter page limit to be enjoyed properly in my opinion.
