Funny, cute read
I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, cute and I fell in love with the characters. Would easily read another book by this author. Can't wait to read the next book in line.

the whole story was sexy and entertaining, but i sorta find the pace of romance a bit too fast
Holy. freaking. cow. I loved this book so much. I didn't think I was going to like it at first but WOW. This book was my favorite brand of brain crack. Fun, sexy, and a delicious happy ending that left me wanting this to become a movie.
At one point, I actually yelled "YES!!" because author, Emma Chase gave a little nod to Disney's Princess Diaries by mentioning the King of Genovia. This definitely worked for me because this story genuinely reminded me of an adult, grown up version of Princess Diaries. If it weren't for all the sex, this totally could have been a fabulous Disney movie.
I am going to recommend this to everyone who will listen.
This is already on my comfort read list. Now to go and find a paper copy of this so it can sit on my shelf and be gorgeous....

I was never a Fairy Tale kind of girl. I never dreamed of being a princess. My barbies were business women, scientists or astronauts. I am now a nerdy business woman. But I will confess that I L.O.V.E. pouring myself a glass of red and escaping real life into a sexy, fun and swoony fairy tale like this one.
➵ Hero: 5. His Royal Hotness, Prince Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, heir to the Wessco throne has a few short months to find a suitable wife. He’s responsible, honorable, gorgeous and a royal flirt. He was also romantic and swoony, a wonderful Prince Charming.
➵ Heroine: 5. Olivia Hammond, New York native, baker, care. I loved how she saw him as a real person, with real feelings and easily empathized with him, sought to give him freedom and the things that were out of reach for him because of his title.
➵ Sexiness: 5. There was so much heated attraction between the two which felt heart stopping because of their deep and meaningful relationship.
➵ Feels: 5. Oh yes definitely. All of them. Olivia and Nicholas were cute, flirty and deliciously hot. Their relationship was also fraught with angst and heartbreak, but in the end they did get their fairytale ending and it was beautiful.
➵ Secondary characters: OMG since this was the first book in a series and a subsequent spin off (Bodyguards) Emma Chase introduces a great ensemble of characters who I want to get to know so much. Henry, Franny, Logan, Ellie, Tommy and Queen Lenora a.k.a. Granny were all integral parts of this great story.
➵ Plot/Pace: 5. It was an incredibly romantic read. It had the perfect amount of humor, sweet, sexiness and angst that had me hooked. I couldn’t put it down. As a matter of fact, I’m writing this review after binge reading Royally Screwed, Royally Matched and Royally Endowed. How’s that for unputdonwable?
➵ The Facts Royally Screwed is book #1 of the Royally series by Emma Chase. This is standalone royal romance, told from both points of view, with a happy ending.
➵ Overall rating: 5

I want the world for Olivia. I want to show her every corner of it, explore it while holding her hand. I want the stars for her – and the moon and the heavens – and everything in between.

“To me, you’re just Nicholas. This amazing, sexy, sweet, funny guy.”

“Did you feel that?”
The spark, the electricity. The desire that feed on itself, relishing the relief of contact but always wanting more.

I read my first book by Emma Chase in June of this year. I quickly devoured the rest of her books. I started with her Tangled series and loved that the first book was told solely through the male POV. It gave a whole different outlook and feel to the book. After I finished those I moved on to her Legal Briefs series, which I think I may have enjoyed even more. I absolutely love her writing style and storytelling. She has a unique way of blending humor with serious topics. So when the opportunity to read and review and early copy of ROYALLY SCREWED, the first book in a new series, came up I jumped at the opportunity.
ROYALLY SCREWED is full of the witty humor we know and love from her other books. This book has kind of a rags to riches, meets Romeo and Juliet vibe. Where two people who shouldn’t be together and have almost nothing in common, fall for each other. It’s the story of a modern day prince who’s been given an ultimatum by his grandmother, the Queen, and has only 5 months to continue his “free” lifestyle of a bachelor before he’s forced to settle down.
“If you were told that the world as you knew it – life as you knew it – would end in five months, what would you do?
Nicholas is sent to the states to collect his brother and take the Queen’s place for meeting with foreign obligations. He sees this as an opportunity to let loose and enjoy what’s left of his freedom before being forced to chose a wife. He never expects to find someone who consumes his every thought. Who he’d rather spend every minute with instead of having one night stands with women he’ll never see again. A woman who can match his banter and doesn’t take shit from anyone.
“There are women who would give an ovary to keep me – half of them have actually tried – and this one’s tossing me to the curb.”
Olivia Hammond is a baker who’s just trying to survive. She doesn’t have time to commit to a relationship when every minute is devoted to keeping her shop afloat. Then one stormy night Prince Nicholas barges into her life and refuses to leave. He’s a prince and used to getting his way. As details of his past come to light she can’t help but feel connected to him. But is it worth investing her time in something she knows can’t last? You’ll have to read to find out what happens!
“Nicholas Pembrook hadn’t been so different that day. Not so different from me. Just a kid, trying his hardest to keep the family he had left from falling apart.”
I loved how Emma pulled pieces of what being a modern day prince must look like. With the intrusive media, paparazzi, the jets and expensive cars, and all the beautiful high-end jewelry and clothing. Emma does such an amazing job describing both New York and Wessco. It’s easy to picture yourself there as a bystander. I’m sure she had a lot of fun coming up with this world and I am SO excited to read Prince Henry’s story next. That one looks like it’ll be really fun. If you are a fan of Sexy Romantic Comedies, and I do mean sexy *fans self*, and a story with a HEA, I highly recommend that you check this book out.

I almost quit reading this book a few times because it’s just so ridiculous, but then it caught me and I stayed up reading the last 150 pages in one sitting. Totally a guilty pleasure read.
Book was pretty good but the readers were EXCELLENT! Where has Shane East been all my life? And Andi Arndt? She is a given but always so great! Wow!
Reread this and loved it just as much as I did the first time. Onto Royally Matched now!
I'm finding it hard to put into words how much I loved reading this book. I laughed. I cried. I loved the characters - not only the Hero and Heroine, but the side characters too. I'm trying to think of a criticism, something to detract from my happiness bubble. But all I can come up with is that the next book hasn't been published yet. My con is that I have to wait. I really can't do this book justice...you just need to read it yourself. This was my first read by Emma Chase, but I can assure you it will not be the last.
