I adored this collection of short stories. All so different from one another, set across time and space and with different technologies and governments and all still so clearly written by one badass, anarchist author. Margaret Killjoy kicks it out of the park with this collection. I knew I had to read it after I came across One Star, the story about self driving cars driving you to jail. The rest of the stories did not disappoint, they lived up to the one that sucked me into her writing. I'm going to be recommending this all over the place!

If you like speculative, reflective, anti-cop, incredibly queer fiction, you will love Killjoy's stories.

I like how every short story is it’s own world but all of them feel really immersive

Absolute masterpiece - this is the first book of Margaret Killjoy's I've read, and I immediately purchased another after finishing this one. If it's as good as this one, I'll no doubt pick up more of her work. The stories within We Won't Be Here Tomorrow span multiple genres, and they range from haunting to tense to beautiful to downright funny. There are moments that are tender, and gay and trans characters center in nearly every story. I've been thinking about the line "I cooked lasagna, even though it takes hours, my last hours" for two weeks straight and show no signs of stopping.
