It's been a long time since I read Handmaid's Tale, so I didn't go into this book with too clear a memory of that story. I listened to this sequel as an audiobook. The voices of the girls were a little annoying, but not too bad, and it was nice to hear Atwood's voice, but I'm glad her role was only to announce the parts of the book.

I found the story interesting & well-told.

This book was everything I dreamed a sequel to The Handmaid's Tale would be. It made me laugh out loud--and start sobbing on the last page. Margaret Atwood is, as always, a brilliant writer, and the many allusions, references, and layers to this cement her legacy. Easily now one of my all-time favorites.

Love is as strong as death.
