I might get more out of this book if I read a physical copy instead of listening.  It was a good sequel and hopeful at the end.  Everything is wrapped up nicely if you take the optimistic interpretation.

We follow the perspective of three different women in Gilead society. I was impressed how Atwood was able to bring these paths together.  This was a great follow up to The Handmaid’s Tale, allowing us a better understanding of the world of Gilead.

I wasn’t as keen on the sections outside of Gilead, but this was just as horrifying and realistic as the first book.

What a terrible, sick creation Ms. Atwood. So glad to have read these books and would like to never read them again. Gave me persistent nightmares.

Ok was this book necessary… no, to the fans of the series maybe you disagree, but no it was not necessary, but in my opinion it is necessary to keep reminding people of this book to keep the discourse it’s such a sensitive and important topic. Atwoods books eat and leave no crumbs to book was fantastic as always

Could this be the best sequel of all time????
adventurous dark tense

Better than The Handmaid’s Tale in my opinion, however, I don’t think I’m a fan of Margaret Attwood’s writing as I struggle to connect with it. Again, felt as though everything was geared around something potentially happening, and left me personally wanting more action. That being said, I did like the different perspectives and how the three “strangers” are actually linked, and follow the one plot.
