I really enjoyed this book! There was a clear distinction between the different perspectives. Aunt Lydia’s perspective was the most interesting and the most controversial. I felt intrigued, disgusted and sympathetic all at the same time!! I felt incredibly sympathetic towards Agnes because I would argue her situation is the most tragic, having been a young girl raised in Gilead. Daisy’s perspective was incredibly enjoyable
and I thought that her shock after the death of her adoptive parents was portrayed very well!!
Also, she’s a funny character, very bold!! I also found Agnes to be very bold, but in a more discreet and, I would argue, dangerous way. This hidden strength is, of course, a result of being raised in Gilead - she cannot broadcast her strength in a land where women are displayed as weak decorative items. Aunt Lydia’s point of view was very intriguing. She is the most cunning of the three women, a master of manipulating situations to her favour - a skill that has proved essential for her survival in Gilead. The story itself was very good and I liked how the narratives evolved and linked together!! I thought the pace was consistent throughout the book, but I felt it quickened significantly towards the end…!

Loved it! So cool hearing the story from all 3 perspectives and finally getting a real ending. My only complaint is I wish the ending was more detailed and explained how they got to the statue, I want to hear about then meeting their dads, having kids etc!
medium-paced

A true masterpiece. I highly enjoyed the three perspectives
