This book was well written but the plot was unrealistic.

I’m not big on the incest trope, and a few scenes felt very unbelievable
like the first time Kaleb lays eyes on T he can’t help but try and rape her? Or that someone as possessive and jealous as Kaleb would want his first time with her to be while his brother is also balls deep? I wasn’t a huge fan of ol step uncle Jake getting her “cherry” or using her dead parents leaving her to him as foreplay, ignoring the weird step incest I could enjoy the spicy scenes. I mean, at least they waited til she was 18 for full penetration?
it was nice if you go into the book knowing it’s all a little farfetched and once you focus on that it’s enjoyable

It’s written well, just a little too dark for me with the incest stuff 🫠

I have so many thoughts about this books:

  1. What the fuck
  2. What the fuck
  3. WHAT THE FUCK

Yall I ain’t religious but man I feel like I gotta go to church after this book and cleanse my brain. This was insane, quite literally pornography. Why why why is the main character always an underage virgin. This book actually made me hate men more because omg, ew. He was her step UNCLE and her LEGAL GUARDIAN. Don’t even get me started on the brothers, I thought the couch scene was bad but it quite literally got worse then even more terrible. They all need to be institutionalised. The brushed over SA, the ownership ‘she’s ours’ and the constant sexual harassment made me actually want to start a war with men and Penelope Douglas. Nothing about this was sexy and it was honestly disturbing, like I am deeply disturbed. Yall need therapy period. Once again, curiosity killed the cat, I will NEVER take recommendations from tiktok again.

I DNF but I count it as read due to the horrors it put me through and I want the stat

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

I had this book on my "TBR" list for a long time. I had assumed it was a reverse harem book (multiple guys with one girl), but in a Facebook group, someone mentioned that she actually only ended up with one. This came as a surprise to me and actually made me bump this down the list more for that reason. If you're here looking into this book, you likely already know that the main female character gets with the step-uncle AND his two sons. It was for this reason I was surprised it didn't end up being a reverse harem. The fact she only ends up with one after all of that is just a bit weird to me (I read a lot of RH!). Despite the taboo subject of the guys in question being her step-family, I guess picking one makes it more realistic.

While I was interested in this book, I was questioning if I would finish it a couple of times. At about 20% in, I was a bit bored. By 50% in, I was seeing how others would be uncomfortable with what was going on. Her "uncle" (not blood related) was about 30 years older than her, and they were getting together. Despite her young age, she was determined she knew what she wanted since she had to somewhat grow up fast and almost fend for herself throughout her childhood. Her family was rich, but her parents had no hand in raising her.

In their own ways, each of the main characters were broken. Two of them went through something traumatic, and the other two felt like no one was really there for them.

In the end, they all ended up more or less happy. It wasn't exactly a "happily ever after," but more like they were all on the right path for them and were happy together.
