- Volume 8 follows the final showdown between Luffy and Don Krieg! I have to admit that I'm definitely ready to move on now, as the fight was pretty drawn out and Krieg was just an okay character for me, We also get a very heartfelt scene with Sanji's farewell from the Baratie, as he finally decides to sail with Luffy. Seeing that despite all their fighting and arguments Sanji, Zeff and the cooks have such a close bond was so sweet 🥺
- Now it's right to Arlong Park as Luffy is determined to get Nami back! He won't accept anyone else as his navigator, yet Arlong is the most dangerous pirate in the East Blue. We see first-hand how viciously he destroys towns that defy him and that he and the fishmen are very powerful. Arlong is working to build up his own empire, as he believes fishmen are evolved and naturally superior to humans. No one has been able to defy him for years!
