This book was so good and there is just too much going on for me to explain everything(Plus there are people on here that do it much better) so just read it. I'm not a big SF reader so if I loved it and you're not sure, just go ahead and try it. It had lots of action but it also had romance. I really hope this isn't the end. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

This was a great sci-fi tale with interesting aliens, dastardly experiments, evil scientists, and bonded mates. I liked how Ryker’s trauma was handled. I loved Seral and his protectiveness - he was perfect for Ryker. There’s action, danger, and betrayal but, also love, acceptance, and healing. I will definitely continue the series.

I loved this book so much!! Was it OTT, sure. Did it have moments where I went "huh.. but.. okay" and other times when I held extra firmly to my suspension of disbelief, yes. None of it mattered to my enjoyment of the story though! This held so many of my fav tropes and was honestly well thought out. Though I wished it was more fleshed out.
Here's what I loved about this book
-abused Ryker being taken care of by a very protective Seral (hurt/comfort)
-alien planet without huge info dumps (probably because everything was passably familiar to earth)
-Ryker in danger throughout the story
-distinct and loveable secondary characters
-a romance that grew through the entire book and went beyond the "I love you" part
-fast moving story (no time to lag here!)
