This one was worse than the first one. I am really trying to like these books because I really like the art and the main cast of characters. Nothing really happened in this book, and also there was fourth-wall breaking that was not done well. Probably not picking up the third volume, just not that interested.

There was a lot of POV changes that I couldn't keep up with. This follows Ains scouting for information and making a name for himself as an adventurer. It's a bit slower than the first, but the cliff hanger is perfect.

Ainz becomes an adventurer to find out what he can of the new world. he comes across new people and enemies.

this one was a little tougher to get through than the first book. the ending was the best part of the book because of the explosive battle.

Compared to the first one, this book definitely feels like a transitioning book. It shows us Momonga's decision to disguise himself as an adventurer in order to better understand the world he has landed in. He goes on a quest to help Nfirea, a well known potion maker to gather herbs and then to rescue him after he's kidnapped due to his skill, that allows him to use any item, no matter their restrictions.
