Not my favorite of her books

3.5 because I thought the book drug a little and I didn't connect to the characters like I usually do

It took a little while for me to get into, but ultimately I did enjoy the mystery and figuring out what happened. The "twist" at the end was alright, but I can't tell if it would be setting up for any future novels? Or it's just a way to wrap up any loose threads. Oh well!

This was my most anticipated release of 2021. It didn't really live up to the high expectations I set for this book, but mostly I still enjoyed it. I read it in a day, if you're looking for a quick ya Murder mystery, this is perfect.
This is not my favourite McManus book but it’s decent. I‘m exited for her next release.
Idk, This kinda felt more on the younger side of ya for me than, „the cousins“ or „two can keep a secret“, but I still enjoyed it.
This was my favourite romance out of all her books, they are adorable. The characters and dialog was so good and I found it funny. It was such an enjoyable read. The ending is where it went down hill for me. It was just anticlimactic in my opinion and not satisfying. I just didn’t like it at all.
Also, I’ve read all of her other books, so this just felt similar to her other works and less unique but still a bingeable.
This was a 3 Stars for me but with another resolution/ ending it’s would’ve been 5 stars because I enjoyed everything but the plot twists didn’t hit.

Loved this book! I love anything written by Karen! I’m more of a romance reader and I love how she has a little romance in her books that don’t take over the plot. I really enjoyed this book!

I do agree with some other reviews that Karen is not being original with story lines. But this was still a great book with great twists and turns that made me want to keep reading on! The chapter endings were good and makes you want to keep on reading! I also liked how there was some comedy too. I found myself laughing through out the book!

I’m excited for more future books by Karen and especially exited for One of Us us Back!

One last thing. Do I sense a sequel coming???

Almost did not finish this, but pushed through. There is maybe one likable character in this book. I understand having flawed characters, but they have to be likable or at least interesting to read from their perspective. And they were not. Ending was a little predictable with some resolutions coming from wayyy left field that it almost made me roll my eyes.

Holy shit! Once again Karen M. McManus delivers with an amazing and addictive teen mystery. I legit didn’t put it down until my eyes were dying on me. Love the characters and the plot, probably not as much as the Bayview High characters but still Ivy is me and I hope one day I will find my Mateo.
