Loved this book! Excellent stories give us a brief glimpse into Ms. Le Guin's delightful mind. I love how she chooses an aspect of each society (like language, or racism, or tourism-based economy) to focus on, and use it as a gentle comparison to our own social history. Plus, it's very funny, and includes an admirable range of puns.

Really enjoyed the imaginative worlds on display in each of these short stories, and thought that Le Guin really did a good job at describing the worlds that she brought us too. I think my one complaint would be that the "aliens" (if you could even call them that) were largely humanoid, it would have been interesting to see more variety there. Otherwise the book has some really interesting themes that I think are disguised well within the frame story. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick and interesting read!
