Very cute romance! Love a good dual pov story like this, where there is longing glances and tension. The story has very interesting lore. Lacks a tad bit in world building. And the use of the word electricity/electric in the book through me off when it's a world I think that uses fire and wood for things so odd word for descriptions. The story is somewhat predictable but I very much enjoyed the build up and the confirmation that I was right. The side characters are fun but kind of overlooked. Overall I very enjoyed this fast paced romance and can't wait for what's to come!

Absolutely fell in love with this book. So much happens, so much world building and it’s so easy to follow unlike other books I’ve read. There’s also a little romance in it as well which is always a plus! But also, plenty of action and plots that will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat.

I was really into this book until about the final 100 pages. Suddenly it felt like the writer was continuingly repeating things that had been said on the page before, and everything was a "behemoth" compared to the dainty girl. 🙄 Had to force myself to finish it.

Really liked the relationship between Kiara and Jude. For a YA book it didn’t feel overly corny to me, which some YA novels can. I could feel my mind wandering away from the story in the middle, but it picked up at the end and I am interested to read the sequel.

This book caught my attention with the pretty cover and gorgeous purple pages. When I looked into the synopsis, “Britannia meets the Mist with a touch a Evil Dead” I immediately wanted to read it.
The character building of Kiara and Jude is amazing. I loved their personal growth from the beginning to the end. The writing of what story building we got was well done, but I felt like the lore could have been explained more. It’s possible this is setting up for more info in the following books.
There were horror scenes and lots of deaths of beloved characters.
This slow burn gave us little bits and pieced and didn’t keep us waiting in agony.
