Installment 2 in the Blood of Zeus will answer some questions that the first book left but it will leave you with so many more.

The relationship between Maximus and Kara grows stronger and their chemistry is off the charts.

Trust is so important in a relationship but will it be enough to help them with all the otherworldly forces working against them?

UPDATE, 10/3/2020: HEART OF FIRE is off to our formatting team, and we cannot wait to see what magic they do with it. If you have a copy of BLOOD OF ZEUS in ANY format, you know that the artistic team really put some thought and care into every gorgeous page for this series. It's been such a special experience to create Maximus and Kara's love story, and we know you're going to DIE (in the good ways!) over Book 2!

WRITING UPDATE: You guyyyzzzz....we are done with the first draft now, and feeling all the things for it! We can't wait for you dive into this story in December!

Heart of Fire is book 2 in the Blood of Zeus Series by Meredith Wild and Angel Payne. What a story this is turning out to be!! The forbidden romance between Kara and Maximus is all consuming. The twists and turns this book took left me frantically turning the pages! Can’t wait for book 3!!

So freaking amazing. As we dig deeper into Kara and Max's troubles and love the plot just continues to thicken.

Will Kara be punished for her rebellion? Will Max get more truths about his past? Will the two of them get their happily ever after? Will all this change how Kara's siblings get to live their lives and possibly find love instead of duty?

Well none of those questions are answered in book 2 of this trilogy. In fact those are all the questions that have had my brain sparking and anticipating what's coming next.

I honestly can't wait for the next and final installment in this awesome trilogy. I also hope that Jaden and Kell and Jesse and heck a whole host of other side characters are going to get their own stories too. I'm invested damn it. I NEED TO KNOW MORE.

If you love Greek mythology, a steamy romance, chaos at its finest and straight up not knowing what's going to happen next ... this is the series for you.

This is NOT ... I repeat NOT A STANDALONE story. You MUST read Blood of Zeus first. It's just as awesome and amazing as this episode so it's not a hardship to read. Also get the print versions ... trust me on this ... you WANT the print versions.

This is book two in the Blood of Zeus series and yes you do have to read the previous book because it picks up where Heart of Fire ends.

WOW!! I loved the first book and I have loved the second book just as much.

The chemistry between Maximus and Kara is off the charts. The story was so very well done and I couldn't put down this book. This book has one heck of a cliffhanger!!!

I give this 5 out of 5.

”Kara. I’d cut my own heart out if its beats caused you pain. In a world where I’d have to exist without you, no knife would cut deep enough anyway.”

Just as quick a read as the first book was, but did miss some of the ‘spark’ and intensity that was present in book 1. It’s an okay follow up that does leave me excited for the next installment, but it’s a typical 2nd book to me and I was expecting a bit more of it to be honest. The development went a bit up and down instead of growing in a steady building pace.

Nonetheless, it was a fun and fast paced read to read in between and I’m curious to see how it’s all going down in the last installment.

Kara and Maximus are made for each other. The book pulls you in slowly and than hits you with all that yummy action that will keep you coming back for more like "what!"

I have been dying for this book since the moment I finished Blood of Zeus. Meredith Wild and Angel Payne completely knocked it out of the park with the second book in this series. The moment it starts you are transported right back to where things left off for Maximus and Kara and from there it is an never ending ride that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

More secrets are revealed. We get more family. More mythology. A connection between Maximus and Kara that is only growing deeper and deeper. Their relationship should be forbidden. A demigod and a demon. One belongs to the heavens and the other to hell, yet their chemistry is explosive. Their love is beautiful.

If you haven’t started this series I HIGHLY recommend it, even if paranormal romance isn’t your thing, you will still love this story and get lost in the world that Meredith Wild and Angel Payne have so beautifully created. I can’t wait to see how their story continues in book 3!

The second book was just as good as the first. It’s actually a little bit better. Learning more about Maximum’s background give whole new light to his character. Seeing how the backgrounds of the two effects their relationship is great. The constant tug of war of good and evil!!! All new mythology and its sexy!!!
