I really enjoyed this book- well written and well researched (for the historical portion). I enjoyed learning a little about the Orkney Islands and their history. I liked the parallel POVs between Alison and Clem, showing the harrowing witch trials in the 16th century and how the magic had passed to current times. It was nerve wracking to follow both timelines, especially to see what really happened with Erin. I feel like some of the current day magic elements weren't as robustly written as I hoped (particularly with Nyx- that part kind of fell flat once it was explained), but it was still interesting. I found the original Triskele elements to be very interesting. Overall, an interesting and well written read!
