I loved beautiful broken things. I liked fierce fragile hearts. I hope i'll love the next book.

Something about this book just hit me incredibly hard. Probably the feelings Susie describes as she's left alone in her bedsit in Brighton as her friends go to uni; all the ups and downs you first face when you're living alone for the first time.
I can't write reviews anymore. So, my only critique of this book is that it doesn't really have a story? it's more Susie going from situation to situation. So while i liked it, im having trouble describing what happened. It just made me feel things. it made me laugh. it made me shed a tear or two. it made my heart hurt for good and bad reasons.

im speechless... honesty love this duology

its different from other books, fierce fragile hearts is in the real world, there people out there just like suze, just like caddy and just like roz... and i love how it makes you realise that you do need to 'surround yourself with people you love' <3

Well that was completely unexpected and my favourite book that I've read this year so far. This author deserves so much more love.

Beautiful Broken Things was always going to be a hard act to follow, but this does it wonderfully.

I truly loved Suzanne as the narrator of this book. I had tears in my eyes at some point, laughed out loud at other parts.

Fierce Fragile Hearts is a sequel novel, but it can be read alone, although the lack of backstory can be quite frustrating.. the story follows the life of Suze, a troubled young woman who is trying to rebuild her life after a childhood of trauma. She learns about living alone, building relationships, and ends the novel having become truly independent sorting out some pretty difficult issues along the way. She was a character that I willed to succeed. I enjoyed the book for what it was = a young adult novel. Think it would appeal to girls more than boys in the classroom if I were to use it as part of the curriculum. But lots of good ‘problems’ for young people to think about.
Thanks to Netgalley and The publisher for a chance to read in exchange for an honest, independent review.
