I loved this origin story of Cassandra Cain.

Cass is raised functionally illiterate and mute, so it would make sense that she would find solace in a library. Barbara, the librarian, is shown in her wheelchair. Jackie, the awesomely flamboyant noodle shop owner; Erik, the jock and romance reader; and Cass are all Asian-American. Erik actually calls himself Blasian and I kind of love that. He was a sweet cinnamon roll and I enjoyed the romance tidbits to the story. All of the characters played a role in helping Cass find herself, but I especially loved how Barbara Gordon played a role in handing over the Batgirl mantle.

What a delightful, satisfying comic! I really enjoyed reading this. The characters are great, the story is compelling, and the art is amazing. So many interesting things done with panels and sound effects throughout. Bonus points for taking place mostly in a library and a ramen shop!
