Fairly standard space fare. Well written, absolutely no humour or room in the narrative for anything other than exactly what tells the story. The author seems to like Star Trek (Confederation? Sounds familiar)! Not that I don’t love a good Trek ep, and I’ll still try book 1.

I did like the thoughtship, I appreciate not being bogged down in too much technical detail, although some would have been nice. I hope there’s more in the full story!
