This is a short novella that introduces Melody Anne's new series. I have read many of hr books so I happy to have the chance to review this one. I found this to be a sweet, enjoyable read. It is full of wonderful characters, including a trio of interfering friends who are determined to see the towns single men find good women. The pace was of the novella was good; it was a quick read for me. I found the characters and the premise to be enjoyable and thought the novella did a good job of setting up what is to come in the rest of the Unexpected Hero's series. I look forward to reading the other books about the remaining four bachelor brothers.

I received an ARC of this novella from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoy this story, evidenced by the fact that I have read it a few times. I love the dynamic between the main characters, and Hawk is one of my favorite male characters across any book I've read. Even though it's a short read, Anne does a nice job of plausible plot development that I find the story believable.

I really enjoyed this sweet, short and steamy holiday novella. Natalie accepts a teaching job at a school in a small Montana town. Hawk is the sexy fire chief and comes from a loving, meddling family - something Natalie has never had. Hawk doesn't do relationships and he doesn't date girls that live in their small town but for Natalie, he'll have to break all his own rules. I really enjoyed this one, even though it was short, it was a complete story with great chemistry between the main characters.

Ya this pretty much sucked.

I didn't like the h at all, she came across as a rude bitch at the beginning of the story, and though she got better, I never really connected with her. And seriously, who moves from southern Cali to Montana, and doesn't know it's frigging cold there in the winter? This is the woman they hired to teach their children??!!

The H/h had no chemistry whatsoever, not to mention we went from dislike to "will you marry me?" in 1.2 seconds.

Just a dull uninspired holiday read.
