Reread/Relisten #2: January 2024

Ironically this was set during the Christmas/New Year season so perfect time to read it!

Now officially on to the newest book!!

Reread/Relisten #1: August 2023

Bumping my rating up to a 5 star, this time around i enjoyed this so much :)

I am currently starting Cassel's book which i realized if i wanted to read it in proper order i should have done that one before this book but oh well haha. didn't take away from any enjoyment of this one!

still hope Tavish gets his own book haha

4-4.5 stars: May 2022

Love these characters so much and Michael Ferraioulo is the perfect narrator for this series!

If Tavish has a future series or has a book of his own I wouldn’t be mad about it haha (that accent

Mayhem is the exact right word for this book, as that's exactly how we start off, and then it just really doesn't stop. At all. And knowing that, we're going to keep this review short and sweet - mostly because there isn't a whole lot of character development with this series, and that's usually where my heart lies.

But I will say the twists and turns get very, very twisty and very, very turn-y. This book was a wild ride from beginning to end, and it definitely kept me on my toes. I never really saw any of it coming. I thought I'd figured out the pattern in the last book, but this one threw all of that completely out the window. I'm honestly still not entirely sure I understand how it all got resolved, but it did.

With one last book to this series, I have a feeling we're certainly going to go out with a massive bang. I'm not entirely sure I'm prepared for what's to come, but I know it certainly won't be boring.

Oh how I love these books! They never fail to make me burst out laughing, the narrator of the audiobooks is so freaking amazing!

And omg LELAND! It's only been maybe a week since I read The Former Assassin's Guide where he showed up but I've missed him. And Jackson, too. These two idiots are so much fun, and I don't know if Leland has become slightly less unhinged or if I've gotten more used to him but I felt this book really really worked for me. Him, Jackson, and the Fence are still my OT3 though 😂

And Cassel! My baby boy! With Jeremy who's a total simp for him (understandable) and poor Henry who secretly loves all the shenanigans Leland drags him along for.

The found family in this series is just excellent and I read this in just over a day because I didn't want to stop. Love these guys!

Fluffy but funny and sweet. The stairwell scene with Tavish was great, I hope he comes back in the series.

Still had very funny moments but the plot was kind of convoluted and I couldn't really follow it tbh.
