I'd like to be friends with this author. The memoir does a great job teaching both about pollinators and the importance of wild spaces and about the world of bike touring. Parts were over written for my taste - a lot of metaphor and paragraph long descriptions that didn't actually give me a clear image - but the narrative itself was excellent. Would recommend.

Ms Dykmans journey following the monarch butterfly migration. From Mexico to Canada and back on a bicycle. A great read!

It was interesting to learn more about the monarch butterfly. The author is a free spirit that doesn't plan her journey too specifically, just a rough plan. But yet it all works out. It was a good lesson for a planner like myself. The other thing I appreciated about the book was her call to save things in nature.
