I’m a long time fan of the Grammar Girl podcast. This book is a distillation of the same accessible and non-judgmental guide to language usage. It was a great listen and I’m going to pick up a hard copy for quick referencing.

Regardless of your age or education, I highly recommend this book as a resource and reference to help improve your writing and settle grammar arguments. šŸ‘šŸ½

This is one of my go-to reference books at work!

So, I found out that I LOVE Grammar Girl. The book was great, but I really love her podcasts. They are short but there are tons of episodes, all with great information! A lot of the questions she answers are questions I have had, but never knew who to ask or how to phrase it. She is really relatable and gives examples so it is easy to understand. Mignon Fogarty is awesome and I love her books and podcasts. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, honestly! I loved the Quick And Dirty Tips For Better Writing books, and was so happy to find her show! The episodes are quick, informative, and always have a fun fanilect story at the end

I love the podcast and now I need to own this book. Great grammar tips for everyday writing in both formal and informal settings.

I love Grammar Girl! I love to read grammar books. Mostly because I need constant refresher courses in grammar. Grammar Girl has a weekly podcast to which I subscribe. The thing I like about her (in her podcast as well as in this audio book), is that she offers little tricks to help you remember grammatical rules. Chances are that I won't remember everything, but I will remember a few things: "I feel nauseated," is correct over "I am nauseous." How is it that I never knew that?

Mignon Fogerty voice is pleasant and easy to listen to. I look forward to hearing more of her quick and dirty tips.

Excellent source for grammar information delivered passionately and amusingly. Much fun and a handy desk reference. Of course I just used two sentence fragments so maybe I should read it again.

It took me a long time to get through this one. Mainly because for me the subject matter is dense and I could only read it in chunks. But that is the way the book is set up and lends itself to chunk reading nicely. Also, she really does try and make it as entertaining as possible.

This book is awesome. I ordered a copy to have on reference. The quick and dirty tips are son fun and helpful. A good book to look at every few months!

This book is very thorough. I skipped through a lot of it (like when she explains affect vs effect and the like). It was interesting to learn the differences between British and American English when it comes to punctuation. I feel more knowledgeable if someone attempts to correct my grammar.

Grammar Girl is the only person on the Internet that I trust when it comes to grammar and usage. The book is a little out of date when it comes to social media, but overall she's a trustworthy and easy-to-understand source for any question you have.
