This book is amazing. It builds brilliantly on the film, and expands wonderfully on every character. It is beautifully written and the tragedy seeps through every page. It grants the reader such a deep understanding of the star wars universe, and why all the characters made the decisions they did. Anakin's fall is written amazingly, and Sidious is so convincing it makes the fall inevitable. One of my favourite books, that I will read over and over again

Pretty good novelization of one of my favorite Star Wars movies. Was nice to see that it picks up where labyrinth of evil left off and mentions moments from the previous book. Cool seeing a different approach at Obi-Wan and Anakins duel, Grievous’s death and the Jedi confronting the “chancellor”. Was a little disappointed on order 66’s section but was still good, overall pretty nice book.

This book gracefully tells the complex story, which the movie failed to do.

WOW. This book delivered! Have had this on the tbr for a while and decided to read it after watching revenge of the sith in cinemas for its 20th anniversary (also a 5⭐️ experience). The prose of this book is stunning. It is so lyrical and captivating and really draws you into the story. The use of second person at times is super unique and brought a whole new depth to the story, especially at the end. Getting inside all of the characters heads was also super interesting and brought so much more to them. I also enjoyed the depth and strong mindedness this book added to Padme’s character. And don’t even get me started on anakin and obi wan :(
This was heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. I have no words
I’m off to go read Star Wars brotherhood to make myself feel better lol

rots is so good. i hate it.

it’s so crazy how stover took the best star wars movie and made it even better. naturally he gets bonus points from me for obi-wan angst, and for making the first third of the book even more of a workplace comedy than the movie.
