I read the book before I watched the movie, and I loved it! I loved that the politics was explained in a way that made the movie make a lot more sense when I ended up watching it. Extremely well written.

A billion stars!! Anyone who loves Star Wars NEEEDS to stop everything and read this book. This was FANTASTIC. It added so much to Anakin, Obiwan, Padme, Yoda and even Windu. I am just amazed at Matthew Stovers portrayal. Revenge of the Sith is one of my favorite Star Wars movies so I knew I was going to enjoy this book, but the amount of substance it added to the plot made my heart break. Anakin Skywalker remains a favorite, and I was, as expected, just not okay throughout a good chunk of this book. The TEARS, the emotion, the LOVE, the FEAR. It’s all done so well and I don’t think I’ll ever be over this book. It’s a must for all Star Wars fans across the galaxy!

I don't normally go for novelizations, but Stover's telling of Episode III enhances the story and makes the characters more likeable and understandable. This title fills in so many holes for me. You are able to feel Anakin's struggle. Jedi aren't the good guys. And my goodness, Padme isn't completely a whimpering sack of potatoes.

I also highly recommend the audiobook version. Narrator Jonathan Davis does a fantastic job. His Yoda and Obi-wan vocals are spot on. The production is great weaving John Williams' musical themes and sound effects throughout. Not only do we hear Artoo's blips and beeps, but Stover also gives the little astromech droid a voice by providing us with translation.

I was hesitant to check this out, but my husband kept insisting I would like it. Very glad I finally did!

I blame Palpatine for all my problems.

What a wonderful book that will rip your heart into tiny pieces. (Watch the Force Ghost Anakin scene in ROTJ to put the pieces back together.)
