I'm really invested in these characters now. Even the new outside character storylines are good. I love how everything has been leading to the final bit of this book and now I have my answers. Looking forward to seeing where the next one goes.

Rockton #6 - Casey, Dalton and few others return to this 6th installment of the Rockton series. Things have started slowing down for several months, lets people being brought into Rockton and no extensions are being granted. In this installment tension run high when a surprise visit from a council member arrives and news that Casey and Dalton had already started to suspect get a bit of a confirmation but before they can deal with that they have to solve another crime. This time they must solve the crime of a lone survivor of an aggressive assault.

I know I've probably said this before but I really love this series, this is my 2nd time rereading it and I just get so wrapped up in the characters and the story. It's almost like a mini series like Law & Order is playing in my head. Kelley writes this so smooth that I try to solve and get the clues along with Casey and Dalton. Dalton curses a bit much but at the same time it makes me laugh.

If you are a fan of crime fiction or detective shows this is a series to read and if you prefer the audiobook format's better they are just as great. Thérèse Plummer does an amazing job!

I've really enjoyed the other books in this series, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me. I felt like a large percentage of the book was spent recapping the first five books that came before this. It was a bit much. Something felt a bit off in the story-telling in this one, too. It didn't grab me like Armstrong's books usually do. I was actually quite relieved when I finished. The actual plot was interesting, but felt like it was missing something. I'll likely read the next book in this series since I'm already this invested and have loved every single other book I've read by this author.

This was my least favorite in the series. There was too much going on with all the various groups showing up in the same plot resulting in confusion on my part. I'm happy this wasn't the last book. More to look forward to but hopefully not all the characters in the series in one book again.
