Another great story combining personal adolescent struggles, social justice issues, and insight into the Muslim community in the US. And of course some cool fights!

Ms. Marvel is so much fun and she's such a loveable character. Her plight in this collected edition is all about confidence and it ends on such a sad cliffhanger.

Best volume yet! A reflection of the awfulness and bigotry running rampant in the US right now, and also the hypocrisy of the very people proclaiming to stand for the rule of law being the people trampling all of it.

85/100.

I genuinely enjoyed this installment. It was fun, fast-paced, and more substantial than the last volume. I’m just still not over losing Bruno.

Ms. Marvel remains one of Marvel comics most consistent offerings, and volume 8, Mecca, really shows you why. Author G. Willow Wilson uses the storyline of people targeting super powered individuals in Jersey City as a metaphor for examining prejudice and radicalization. There are some pretty big twists this time around, and things end on a bit of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see how things are resolved in volume 9.

Comparing it to the other volumes, this is far the "worst". It isn't bad, just not as good. 3.5 stars.
It tied up some loose ends and created a new plotline. The next 2 volumes are the last 2 volumes so i hope to see a good ending.
