Silence of the Girls is objectively better-paced, more emotionally-invested, and just generally a better book. But this is also magnificent!

I just could get into this book, I tried I really did, but half way through and I'm still not enjoying myself, so this is a DNF for me.

Another Greek retelling I really enjoyed!
Seeing the aftermath of the fall of Troy from the viewpoint of all the women was really intriguing.
Even when we were seeing the male’s perspective, it was all third person, so it was only to add to their story, rather than to override it.

I didn't feel connected to any of the characters and just became bored reading this.

Subject matter - utterly miserable and anger enducing.

Writing - completely compelling. I really hope we get to hear more of the tale of Briseis' life.
