Ao Haru Ride, Vol. 05
by Io Sakisaka

3/5 stars

Kou broke his promise to come to the Summer Festival with Futaba. Things get complicated after that. Futaba knows that Kou become strange and always busy. It made her wonder what's Kou hiding from her.

At the other side, Touma realized that he took interest to Futaba. He likes her so far. Knowing Futaba has a special relationship with Kou, Touma tried his best to get closer to Futaba.

Well, it's very clear that Kou still has a feeling for Futaba. We still don't get the reason why Kou don't wanna make a new relationship with her. Is there anything to do with the girl on the phone--that lately calling Kou? I really curious about this.

I originally read this in October of 2019 but I have no recollection of that whatsoever. Here's hoping this reread is more memorable!

It's kind to help a friend in need who lives far away, but Kou should drop his phone and be more respectful to those friends who are there for him every day...

Listen, I liked it - I didn’t love this one. Mostly because there was not enough tension and I don’t care about Kou’s friend on the phone drama
