Kou cancels on the festival and then disappears all summer. Turns out an old friend's father died and he spent the summer back where he lived with his mom. Futaba tries to tell Kou that she like shim but the time is never right. Kou is always on the phone with the old friend --supporting them. He gets jealous because another boy Toma, seems interested in Futuba.
I see why people find kou annoying. They do have cute moments but I don’t like it when he starts acting distant. I like the second love interest he’s so cute but we all know by the end he won’t get the girl.
I think I loved this volume! We get to see more of Toma Kikuchi, who we met through an awkward encounter with Futaba in the last volume, and he seems like such such a sweet character. I think I ship him with Yuri.
I'm still not sold on Kou, at least romantically with Futaba or Yuri. I do love seeing his friendship grow with all of them, especially Kominato, but he seems too mean when he likes someone romantically. Also, it's awesome how he just took in the cat.
I also love seeing the girls' friendship grow, Yuri, Shuko, and Futaba support each other and I'm here for it!
