I think I probably had an opportunity to like this book but analyzing every other lines for school kind of ruined it for me.

Will try to reread without the pressure of school at some point.

“Nothing’s lost forever. In this world, there is a kind of painful progress. Longing for what we’ve left behind, and dreaming ahead”

Essential reading! Among my preferred genres, plays hold a special place, and Kushner's masterpiece now ranks as a personal favorite. This play elicits laughter, introspection, and even the occasional eye roll (whew chile), all while delivering profound insights.

I look forward to attending the play someday, as that's where the true magic of theatrical works unfolds. Meanwhile, I'll continue immersing myself in plays, eagerly awaiting that moment.

This is a fabulous play that deals with the AIDS crisis in the 1980s - funny to have read it during the current pandemic. It’s fantastical elements are hard to imagine taking place on a stage. I am interested in how these come to life. It’s one of those plays that one needs to read multiple times to really pick up the layered meanings.
