The second book of the series is so so good, I loved it even more than the first one. It was so full of angst, sadness, trauma, and finally, love. Raife was such a good MMC, and I loved seeing his character develop and his walls break down. He had an incredibly rough life and completely shut everything and everyone out, but still, there was so much goodness and kindness in him, and above all, fear of not losing anybody he cared about ever again. All in all, I'm truly enjoying the series and will gladly finish all four books.

I really liked this. The series is off to a great start, which only makes me want to read more. I was hooked to the story and finished it in what felt like the blink of an eye. I loved the characters as well. This was a good one!

The fake marriage and tension in this book was exactly what I needed. I have really enjoyed this series so far. if you are looking for a fun, fast paced fantasy series I highly recommend the Avalier Series.
I enjoyed it but I had the same issue as the last book which was the pacing. The whole plot happens in a span of a month, which mean it’s rushed and you can’t feel the slow connection between the kings & their wifes. It’s an arranged marriage so you would think it will take over a month for them to fall in love?
But overall, it was enjoyable and easy to read. Will read the next book in January!

Leia Stone knows how to pull on my heartstrings! Even though this was a fade to black fantasy romance the romance was absolutely beautiful.
