♡ Cold Case
♡ Feminine Rage
♡ How to Get Away with Murder

Wow, what a roller coaster this book was.  The most tense out of the series for sure.  I got through the first part then quickly worried how everything would come together by the end.  Which I’m super happy with how this ended.  Everything came full circle and it was so satisfying to read even if some parts were anxiety inducing.  Pip really slayed with her last case (pun may or may not be intended).

And yes, this book also has stunning formatting with all the extra details in the design of the book.  I absolutely loved this series and highly recommend it.

This book was extremely hard to get through. I rarely DNF a book - I don’t remember the last time I did - but I had to stop with this one for a couple reasons: **SPOILER ALERT**

1) the reveal and in-depth explanation of how Barney (the dog) was murdered - this, to me, is so unnecessary and animal murder is something that completely turns me off from books. I didn’t like this in the first book, and the expansion and increased violence of it in this book is even worse.
2) Pip has COMPLETELY changed from who she was. Granted, she has gone through some life-altering things, but becoming a jaded individual who puts herself above others (not caring that there’s an innocent man in prison for DT’s murders to save herself from going to jail when she did commit manslaughter as an act of almost-self-defense) is so far from the character she was that it’s hard to empathize with her or want to continue to see her path in this story.

Overall, I think there was unnecessary violence that was disturbing and didn’t add to the plot, as well as character development that didn’t seem true to who the character was at their core.

I hurt so much for Pip, that whole book was a rollercoaster of emotions and I am so not okay after that ending.

I absolutely loved this book. An Instagram reel spoiled the ending for me but it did not make it any less gripping.

This book is a CRAWL. Took me so long to finish it and It was such a let down after the second one. The only redeeming quality is the end of part 1.

Why is this book even classified as Y/A when it's too heavy and too dark.
She literally covers up a murder by dr*gging someone and putting their DNA all over the place. Obviously we want the bad guys to get what they deserve but I don't know if this was the way to go about it.  Her not running away made sense since he was a big threat and could catch her as she was running away and I understand that Max is also a big threat to all young women but the way she went about this was a bit insane in my opinion. There were so many things that could've gone wrong and that should've gone wrong. I don't buy that she and Ravi were able to clean all her DNA at all.  I like that Max is in jail for his murder but it wasn't believable in my opinion.
Overall an interesting ending although feels a bit poorly planned. Feels like many things were added later on just for the sake of the surprise element.
