I didn’t enjoy this book, yet I still finished it. I mostly listened to it during walks. It wasn’t so bad that I couldn’t finish it, but I didn’t find it captivating.

I liked that there was multiple suspects and everyone had something to hide. I had a feeling who did it but it wasn't super obvious, everyone is suspicious. I also read lots of thrillers and still wasn't 100% sure who the culprit was. My three star rating is because the ending was a little bit  disappointing.

Shari, what the hell?! I have more questions than answers with that ending. What a ride though. So many characters to keep track of with so many secrets but the biggest secret of all I feel like was never revealed! Ugh. A classic Shari Lapena read.

I was sceptical abt this one bc it’s not usually the type of thing that I read but a sure fire way to get me hooked on a book is excessive amount of drama. I felt like i was watching a season of desperate housewives it was crazy. I was thoroughly entertained and didnt expect the killer to be who it was
Robert is a psychopath and despite all the evidence I was still expecting him to be the killer and I was shook at the end when he admitted to even thinking abt killing Amanda himself and like the phone is kissing now what happens will there be a sequel i gotta know ?!

This is a really good fast paced thriller. A real page turner. It's not extraordinary or whatever, but I can find nothing wrong with it. It's a really good and enjoyable domestic thriller. It's my second favorite from Shari Lapena now, after An Unwanted Guest (bc of the atmosphere of that was just my favorite). But pace and plot wise, this one is more page-turner-y.

This was sooo good, fast-paced and twisty! Once I thought I had figured out who the murderer was, I was wrong. My head was spinning with so many theories. I have become obsessed with Shari Lapena's writing style.
