This book was exactly what I wanted and expected it to be. A fast paced, not overly complicated murder mystery with a very real cast of characters. It was easy to empathize with Olivia and Glenda especially- two stressed mothers who just want to protect their sons. I heard someone say that this book brings to life our worst fears about our children and I couldn’t agree more. The characters are just so real it made me so tense thinking that I could be just like them in this situation. Definitely recommend picking this one up! I finished it in less than 2 days.

My first Shari Lapena, and it certainly won’t be my last! I enjoyed the fast pace and how the POV changed between characters frequently.

 Man, I thought I had it all figured out in the end but I was WRONG. Well, I was wrong by like one or two counts of association really, because I guessed the family the killer was a part of, so I probably deserve a pat on the back for that. A fantastic book. Not my usual read, but my girlfriend loves it and wanted me to give it a go and I'm very glad I did!

This one was just a classic, mysterious, speedy read for me. Loved the different points of view, it really made the reader keep guessing til the v last page!!!

Another good beginner thriller. There are some twists that caught me off guard you don't know what character to believe and has an ending that leaves you wanting more. Also had like a gossipy aspect  to me but not in a bad, but I feel like added to it and made me want to read in one sitting.
