Caitlin Schneiderhan manages to capture Eddie Munson's voice and attitude with surprising flair. Prequels are often difficult, as it is hard to maintain suspension when you know where the character will eventually end up, and yet the book managed to navigate it beautifully, sparking impossible fears and hopes. It was one I couldn't put down, and an amazing read for any Stranger Thing's fan.
