Daddy of the Sea by Jillian Graves is a short story in the anthology Monsters in Love: Volume 4: Lost in the Deeps. The main character - Carina kicks out her loser boyfriend in true Beyoncé fashion. In her grieving process, she pushes her ex’s motorcycle into the ocean. This attracts the attention of a guardian of the sea, and he is not happy with her actions. Then, it gets spicy, and she starts living out her erotic novels.
Overall, it was a cute, short read. All of Jillian’s stories thus far take place in the same universe, and I enjoy discovering more about the Strange world with every book and short story. It’s especially nice to get to know other creatures than gargoyles- not that I am anywhere near done with the gargoyles! I am interested in learning more about the witches and the creatures in the ocean. (Hint, Hint - nudge, nudge Jillian)

I mean??? It’s in the title and it delivered!! I absolutely love this. Short, steamy, and so damn cute. Carina and Kalder’s 😍💖💖💖 I could read a full novel of them.

This review is icky due Daddy of the Sea, but will be updating this review once I read others in the abiotic anthology.
A fun and spicy & slippery when wet read! Jillian Graves gives us another look into her Strange universe. This novella was a fun little read that gives you the story of Carina. Carina fresh off a break up and mad at the world... she decides some house cleaning is needed but ends up dumping her ex's stuff into the realm of one of the Sea protectors.
He's not happy and he is going to make sure Carina pays for her rudeness.
Whether she likes it or not.
Wished it was longer, but a good quick read and another lovely tale from this universe.

Daddy Of The Sea is a ridiculously sweet, VERY short and steamy read from the new Monster in Love Vol. 4: Lost in the Deeps Anthology
Jillian never has and never will let down when it comes to monster romances. This story was 30!!!!! pages long and im already in love with the characters and want more. If Jillian is one of your favorite monster romance writers like she is mine, then this short story is definitely something you dont want to miss.
