Will add a short review for each story after I finish reading each one.

I love anthologies as you get to find new authors. Just looking at who is in this anthology I only know of five of them, I have read books by one and four I know of but I haven't read their work before and all the others are new to me.

~Chester by Esther E. Schmidt~

~Riddick by Kathy Coopmans~

~Back to Life by Dani Rene~

~Ripple Effect by Evan Grace~

~Heartbreaker by Anna Brooks~

~Whispered Prayers of a Girl by Alex Grayson~

~Wicked Truths by L.A. Cotton~

~When Hope Ends by Freya Barker~

~Boss of Me by Angel Devlin~

~Tempt Me by Kally Ash~

~Just Because of You by Gianna Gabriela~
Like always GG has done it again with another awesome story. I can't wait to read the rest of this duet.

~Fighting For Us by Heather Lyn~

I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.

I have only had a chance to read Freya Barker’s When Hope Ends in this anthology, but I definitely will be getting to the rest of this amazing collection. The single parent trope has become one of my favorites these days so I was ecstatic when this anthology was being publicized, and it is for such a wonderful cause.

Mika and Jude’s story was heartbreaking and so beautiful at the same time. Mika had to make a gut-wrenching decision that gave Jude the ultimate gift. With the help of friends, Mika knew she was spiraling down a dangerous path so she knew she had to try to move on. For whatever reason, Mika and Jude’s path keeps crossing. Something in the universe seemed to know they belonged together. There were definite obstacles, but the connection between Mika, Jude and Kelty were real. This story had such heart, it was a story of extreme loss, but to witness the hope and healing and joy they were all able to find in each other was perfect.

Then There Was You Anthology
When this Anthology came up for review I jumped at the chance to read. A collection of stories about single parents. I love single parent stories. They have to be one of my favourite tropes.

Chester by Ester E Schmidt 3 Stars
Ester E Schmidt is a new author to me, so I had no idea what to expect from her writing.
I enjoyed the story of Chester and Serenity quite a bit. They had this instant connection that you could feel through the pages and Serenity’s daughter is just adorable. I did find the story a bit predictable but that didn’t ruin the enjoyment of it.
I loved the whole alligator park. It was an interesting part to the story.

Riddick by Kathy Coopmans 2 stars
Another new to me author.
I really struggled with this book. At first I was interested and did enjoy it but then it became predictable which in this story made it boring.
I didn’t feel a connection with the characters either. They didn’t make me feel what they were feeling. It was just a ok story for me!

Back to life by Dani Rene 4 stars
So Dani Rene isn’t a new author to me but I’ve only read 1 book I think by her.
Anyway, I have to say this book is my favourite book so far in this anthology. There was something about Caleb and Kayla. They had both endured tragic loss and at young ages, so they still had their lives to live. You could feel their chemistry through the pages and I just feel in love with the story. I liked that the author kept the kids very much involved with their new relationship and that they spoke with the kids about the changes. They both just needed that push to go into a new relationship.

Ripple effect by Evan Grace 4 stars
Evan Grace is another new author to me, so I had no idea what to expect. Starting Ripple Effect I was pulled into the story from page 1. We have a few chapters about Ripley and Brock as they were kids and the night that led to their 6 year gap and what caused it all. Brock didn’t have a good life growing up he doesn’t want that to affect his actions as he is growing up.
I loved Ripley and Brock, I loved that we got to see them before everything changed and then after. It made me feel more connected to them.
I found some parts of the story to be a bit predictable. I predicted who the “bad guy” was going to be. Also the ending felt rushed. The story apart from the ending was going at its own pace. I was also disappointed that Brock didn’t get any closure with his dad. I understood what he did was a terrible thing but you could see he had changed in those few years. I’m glad Brock and Ripley got the HEA they deserved though.

Heartbreaker by Anna Brooks
I’ve never read a Anna Brooks story before.
This was a fast paced over the top novella, kind of like insta love. I really enjoyed it. Ryan, Opal and Olivia stole my heart and made me love them. Ryan was so patient with Opal, waiting for her to open up.

Whispered Prayers of a girl by Alex Grayson 5 stars
I’ve never read a Alex Grayson book before. I know she’s a popular author so I was excited to read this story.
Alex Grayson had me hooked from page 1 with Whispered Prayers of a girl. I couldn’t put the story down, I just had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. You will need tissues at the ready for this book. I cried multiple times throughout. Alex Grayson takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and leaves you wanting more.
I will definitely be reading more Alex Grayson books in the future.
