I enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I enjoyed the characters and getting to know them. I loved getting to see Maxim and Ryston with their mate and how they adjusted to her feelings. Rachel was the same with both of them. I loved how once they were together and connected they communicated well and used that to their benefit. They could feel the emotions but when needed they questioned what they were in regards to and used it the right way to build their relationship and a strong foundation. I loved watching Rachel adjust and then getting to use her scientific mind to solve the problem on base. This was great and can’t wait for the next one. It is a shorter, quicker read and I liked it a lot.

Mail Order bride for the hunky aliens with a ménage twist. The heroine starts out a bit whiny and got on my nerves, but she improves as the story continues. The first in the series, it is a set up for on-going standalones so much of it is given to world-building and set up for the series, leaving the characters a bit under developed.

I don’t appreciate FMC gaslighting herself into a public sex scene? Like agreeing to a ceremony is one thing, but the way she said no and then went on an unrealistic tangent and convinced herself was wrong, and frankly ruined the plot filled and really rounded out book that was surprisingly good up until that point 😖

A light fun read...

With just enough angst. I watch diligently for sales on these books, for me they are like a palate cleanser. I can clear my brain from heavy thinking and float in space.

I was very concerned when I started this book that Rachel's Earth troubles would just be forgotten about and not dealt with. That she would be happily paired and she would never be vindicated as a whistle blower. Ultimately I'm very happy it wasn't forgotten about and was solved.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between Maxim and Ryston and how they allowed themselves to see things through Rachel's eyes. They were willing to change procedures and give her free reign to use her knowledge to help the Colony. I truly liked this trio.
