I bought the hard bound copy of this book. I wish I didn't. It wasn't really worth it. It was just ok.

In a lot of ways, this was a really Nick Hornby-ish book, and I appreciated that. It was more gripping than, say, A Long Way Down. But I left it not feeling satisfied...perhaps that was because Hornby's a talented enough author to make you feel what the characters are feeling, but in the end, it didn't edge out High Fidelity for me.

Nick Hornby's always funny and always creates characters that you love despite their flaws. Certainly not life changing stuff, but a great read, especially for people who love music. Like High Fidelity and About A Boy, this one could easily be made into a movie.
