This was both darker and lighter than I thought. A lot of it was predictable, but also some parts were difficult to read. The prologue is unnecessary, and the protagonist is excruciatingly weak. But I did feel for the love interest in the end, so I'll give credit where it's due. 

Also, not as much smut as you'd think.
