I’m a major Grady Hendrix fan girl at this point.

you can definitely tell it was written by a man… it was a little bit slow in the first third of the book. and in the last third, slick’s assault and the author’s focus on describing everyone’s pubic hair was a bit much. also, why did the husbands never really get what they deserved? why was bennett abusing grace only mentioned… well, really that one time, and nothing came of it? i enjoyed the vampire, the tension and the big (honestly, very girlboss!) kill scene, but… hmm. i’ll have to think on this one a bit more.

Another sub-24 hour Grady Hendrix read! Very fun. He loves gross stories about rats.

The book felt long just for the sake of it. I feel like more than half could have been edited out and it would have felt like a much better book. By the time I was done, this was almost painful to try and finish.
